Actualmente
hay más de 70 barcos de cruceros que podrían llegar a Sevilla por sus
características técnicas, 30 de ellos con más de 150 metros de eslora.

Gracias a la construcción de la nueva esclusa Puerta del Mar, hoy
amigos lectores os puedo decir que más de 70 barcos de cruceros podrían entrar
en el Puerto de Sevilla, de estos barcos, 30 tienen más de 150 metros de eslora,
incluso hay algunos que rozan los 200 metros o lo superan. Estos barcos que
podrían llegar hasta el Muelle de las Delicias, son relativamente pequeños en
comparación con los que llegan a puertos marítimos como el de Barcelona,
Valencia o Málaga; pero hay que tener en cuenta que Sevilla tiene un puerto
fluvial y que para llegar hasta el hay que recorrer 80 kilómetros aproximadamente
desde que el barco entra por la desembocadura del río Guadalquivir. Y aunque el
Puerto de Sevilla a realizado una de las mayores obras de ingeniería de Europa
en estos últimos años, que es la esclusa, con unas dimensiones de 280 metros de eslora, 39 metros de manga y 11 metros de calado. Esta
obra no puede funcionar al 100% por no estar realizada la obra que la
complementa, hablamos del dragado de profundización del río, mediante el cual,
respetando el medio ambiente y tomando todas las medidas oportunas para poder
causar el menor impacto ambiental posible y preservar la flora y la fauna del
río Guadalquivir, se aumentaría notablemente el calado y la manga del canal de
navegación. De este modo y según los estudios realizados por el puerto, podría
acceder a Sevilla el 90% de la flota mundial.
Si esta obra se realizara podríamos ver grandes cruceros en
Sevilla y como consecuencia los precios
de los pasajes y el coste de traer un barco hasta la ciudad se abarataría,
activando de este modo la economía de la ciudad y su provincia.
Pero dejando a un lado, lo que podría llegar a ser el puerto de
Sevilla, vamos a centrarnos, en los barcos de cruceros que podrían llegar hasta
el Muelle de las Delicias y no lo hace. Actualmente podrían entrar 30 cruceros
con más de 150 metros
de eslora, alguno con incluso 200 metros y más, pero lo que realmente
condiciona la subida del río es el calado, por el cual muchos barcos no pueden
remontarlo, también hay que decir que es solo en algunas zonas del Guadalquivir
donde hay poco calado porque en otras llega a tener mucha profundidad. Pues
bien, entre los barcos que podrían llegar encontramos por ejemplo: el Thomson
Majesty, el Aida Cara, el Silver Shadow, el Bahamas Celebration, entre muchos

por esta hermosa ciudad la cual tiene mucho patrimonio cultural y lugares con
